For those of you that don't know what that is, it's basically a team of nerdy people gathered together to take tests they don't actually need to take so the school itself can have bragging rights. Aaaaand I'll be studying for the -VERY FUN- WYSE tests taking place at the end of January. Too bad I'll be trying to force myself to study, which probably won't work and will lead to me bombing my finals and/or faking it like I did last year but still got decent meaning B+ and up grades for them and averaging my semester grades to like an A or A. Winter Break is coming up, and it'll be the last two weeks of Dec and a little of Jan. I felt really bad for our team coach, because he had to stand up there and hand out awards and trophies and everything to all the other schools.He turned so red up there and looked so sad. If we had gotten 26 more points in math, we would've qualified. We were 26 points away from qualifying, I think. Some people who weren't even in honors math were in it, which was kind of.eh. He only learned up to part of Algebra 2 (he's learning it now) whereas the test covers Geometry, Algebra 2 with Trig, Precalc, and Calc. Some people on my team didn't pull their weight at all.I know someone who got 40 something on the English and a 5? on the math.

I couldn't remember how to do anything on there, so I guess I'm a good guesser on math tests. I did study decently for English, as in looked at my old grammar book seriously, but I decided to not bother with math since I phail at is so much anyway. The rest of the points are doled out accordingly, like a curve). None of my scores were high enough to count in the team total (the highest two in each subject are added together, and whichever school gets the highest combination total for the subject gets 100 points. Math, I got an 18/40, which is.very bad overall because the high score from all the schools was like 39, but decent considering what about half my team got. I got a 60/100 for the English one I took, which is relatively good considering the high score overall was in the high 60s, I think. Individually, my school got some medals, which is good, but they were mostly third place wins.

Schools are generally split into different sections for regionals depending on county, but their school chose to be in our country's regional tests because their county has too many high-ranking schools and it's hard for them to win with better competition, or so I've heard. Technically, one of the schools competing in our school's division shouldn't even be at our competition. Granted, we were competing against four other schools, but a division for a school smaller than us had six schools in it, so I shouldn't complain.
